Overview:

The Equality Act Public Sector Duty – April 2011 (PSED) places a statutory duty on some organisations – generally the public (or related) sectors to promote Equality.

This event completely demystifies the PSED and provides practical guidance, tools, information, resources and examples of exemplar practice. The event aims to ensure that there is complete clarity in your organisation about what is required and exactly (in practical terms) how to achieve it.

For detailed information about the requirements of the act itself, please visit our the on line resources page of our website. There is also some additional technical information provided within the Resources section at the bottom of this page.

How Can McKenzie Help ?

Many of our partner organisations for whom we have delivered this training, have reported renewed and invigorated approaches and engagement in respect of the PSED. Whilst for the uninitiated, the requirements of the duty can often be seen as daunting, we specialise in providing practical, hands on guidance on both how to meet the requirements of the PSED but also, and more importantly, develop proactive EDI related initiatives and approaches.

  • Developing an overarching Equality and Diversity strategy.

  • Reviewing examples of exemplar practice drawn from a range of UK organisations.

  • Reviewing a number of best practice tools and resources.
