Overview:

In addition to meeting the requirements of UK equality legislation, effectively recognising and embracing the differences that exist within your organisation requires all employees to understand how to demonstrate inclusive and empathic behaviours. This programme explores the differences between inclusion and exclusion and the consequences of exclusive behaviours on employees, teams, organisations and customers. The programme also defines key behaviours for success and a step by step approach to effectively demonstrating these behaviours and challenging inappropriate behaviours in others. This programme is recommended for all managers and staff and we often deliver this event within our partner organisations as the second part of a two day development programme. (Legislative Awareness is the most frequently requested day one).

Programme Content:

  • Inclusive and Exclusive Behaviours
  • Challenging Exclusive Behaviours
  • Case Examples and Outcomes
  • The Role of Managers
  • Example Behavioural Checklists and Competencies
  • The Consequences of Exclusion
  • Key Behaviours for Success
  • Inclusive Language
  • Recognising and Detecting Exclusion

Event includes electronic copies of learning materials and (optional) workbooks to provide further guidance upon return to the workplace.
