Equality Impact Assessment Training / Guidance

McKenzies can provide modern, interactive and engaging Equality Impact Assessment training / guidance for your organisation.

The Equality Act Public Sector Duty 2011 places a statutory duty on all public sector (or public related) organisations to perform an analysis of your activities (e.g. policies, procedures etc) to measure their impact on the different sections of your workforce and customers. This is also an area often considered during external auditing. McKenzies have supplied Equality Impact Assessment training / guidance since the original introduction of assessments in 2000. Our latest toolkits and documentation (ver 7.0) were revised in May 2013 to reflect recent legislative changes and the latest thinking in this area..

McKenzies can:

  • Provide Equality Impact Assessment training / guidance and coaching for your managers and staff.
  • Complete Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs) on your behalf (we have completed EqIAs for many of our partner organisations).
  • Design Equality Impact Assessment training to meet your specific organisational needs - including performing a 'model' analysis on one of your existing policies which can be used as an example of 'best practice'.
  • Advise on systems and processes and supply 'ready to use' EqIA documentation to allow you to effectively complete Equality Impact Assessments within your organisation.

If you would like to find out more about how we could work with you please click here to arrange an initial free consultation or visit our online store (under construction) to see our Equality Impact Assessment materials and products.

In 2012 and 2013, McKenzies have worked with the following organisations to advise on EqIAs:

The NHS, Essex County Council, Symphony Housing, The National Treatment Agency, London and South Bank University, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Brent Council, Tower Hamlets Council, Aberdeen City Council and many more.
